Nemo (In service 1964 - ?)

Nemo arrived at Downing Street with the newly elected Prime Minister, Harold Wilson and his wife Mary. In fact, Nemo had been personally in charge of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson for a few years before Mr. Wilson became Prime Minister.

Nemo’s appointment at Downing Street was the highest honour Mr. Wilson could bestow on him. However, Nemo preferred spending time on his beloved Scilly Isles, off the coast of Cornwall, insisting that the Prime Minister and his wife spent every holiday with him on the island.

It has been quietly suggested that Mr. Wilson’s later struggles as Prime Minister occurred because Nemo refused to return to Downing Street from his extended holiday.

This limited edition mug is made of Fine English Bone China, made hand decorated in Longton, Stoke on Trent. It can be hand washed or washed in a dishwasher.
